Pedal Tractor Pull

AND THE WINNER IS…the one who pulls the weighted sled the longest measured distance. That’s how to win. Children astride a pedal tractor go as fast as they can, pedaling as hard as they can, to pull the sled as far as they can. Like the little engine that could, the faster you get going, the farther you’ll go. Good to know tips: Always look ahead. Go as fast as you can. When it starts getting hard, pedal harder.

Take the challenge. 

• Register at the Cattle Ring beginning at 2 pm. 
• Pay the $1 entry fee and weigh-in to qualify. 
• The competition begins at 2:30 pm.

There are six weight classes beginning at under 30 pounds and ending at 80 pounds: 

• 30 lbs. and under
• 31-40 lbs.
• 41-50 lbs. 
• 51-60 lbs.
• 61-70 lbs.
• 71-80 lbs.

Awards for first place winners in each class are sponsored by the Big Rock Plowing Match Association. The Big Rock Park District, partnering with the Association, sponsors the second place awards and new in 2024, the third place awards in each class.
